I love autumn's adult Cruise ships NYC tours.
I have a great relationship with their GLs Group Leaders. This text was about my bi-annual tour of the World Trade Center, it's National 9/11 Memorial, and local architecture, including the Fulton Transit Center, St Paul's Chapel, the Oculus, and the Brooklyn Bridge. NYC Architecture from 1766 to 2016.
Without further ado:
"Thank you for an excellent tour. You received many compliments. Hope to work with you again."

Dear Jared,
I just want to thank you so much for a wonderful day. Everyone in our group had a really great time & we saw things we never knew existed and things we had always wanted to see. Really appreciate all your knowledge AND your humor! Thanks again & hope we can book you as our guide again.

We saw views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Fraunces Tavern, Stone Street, Bowling Green, the Charging Bull, the site where George Washington's Presidential mansion was, Hamilton's tomb, (this was an unofficial Hamilton's NYC Tour), Trinity Church, Wall Street, Federal Hall, the NY Stock Exchange, the World Trade Center, and the 9/11 Memorial.

We went to the Meatpacking District, the Highline, and Chelsea Market on one day. On another day we experienced The Empire State Building, Grand Central Terminal, Chinatown, Rockefeller Center, Little Italy, the 9/11 Memorial, Washington Square Arch, the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, and the South Street Seaport. We customized our NYC tour with a focus on art, architecture, walking, subways, and using a driver.

Sometimes I lead walking tours for commercial walking tour companies. Here is a five out of five star review I inspired for them over at TripAdvisor.
“Jared is an excellent tour guide!”
We have done a half dozen or more walking tours in NYC - enjoyed them
all to some degree - and the Wall Street Walk with Jared was one of the
best. Unlike all the others we've experienced, this company provided
personal receivers so that everyone could hear the guide while he was
walking, which gave him much more opportunity to point out interesting
places and facts. Jared was well worth listening to - highly
recommended!

It is still Summer for another day or so, but at Kmart on Astor Place in the East Village, it is Christmas season already as of September 20th 2016.
Which means that Santa Claus' New York City History Tour season is coming. Santa Claus' birthday, St Nicholas Day, is December 6th. NYC is the birthplace of Santa Claus and most of his legends, so this is a great place for a private customized Santa NYC History tour, by foot and subway, or with a driver.

What a wonderful boon to history and historic walking tours of NYC: HAMILTON!
It is great to see how the show, HAMILTON: An American Musical has brought families together around American history. There has never been anything like this.
It has been my pleasure to lead Alexander Hamilton walking tours of Downtown Lower Manhattan this summer, as well as a custom tour with a driver that included Hamilton Heights, Weehawken, New Jersey, where the Hamilton-Burr duel was waged, with the tour concluding in the colonial early American area around Wall Street where the American financial, government and legal systems were born. The tours, all customized, have ranged from two to four hours, but we can go longer!
I integrate the musical a bit into my tours, but I'm still working on that! It is hard to play the soundtrack while standing around or walking. And it is hard to summarize the lyrics because they are so packed!
Most of the families on my Hamilton tours were going or recently went to the musical, but one family of fans was not able to get tickets, so their Hamilton tour was the next best thing.
I've been integrating Alexander Hamilton's remarkable life in New York City into my tours since around 2009, so it has been wonderful creating tours based around him.
I have about 60 pages of material, including many illustrations, that support the tour.
Thank you, Lin-Manuel Miranda for making history come alive for new audiences, and making this history nerd's life as a Tour Guide more interesting! And thank you, Alexander Hamilton, one of the first true Americans to whom we all owe a debt of gratitude.
