NYC roots, scholarship, and experience

As a multi-generation New Yorker, I grew up on family stories about the city. At Columbia University, I studied with influential historians, writers, and urban scholars whose work still shapes how I guide today.

Before becoming a full-time guide, I worked with organizations including The New York Times, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Reader’s Digest, and IBM. I have also worked in affordable housing, community organizing, and civic engagement across New York City.

What touring with me feels like

My tours are energetic, personal, and highly interactive. I balance big landmarks with lesser-known details so guests can connect with New York as both visitors and thoughtful observers.

I believe responsible guiding means respecting neighborhoods, supporting fellow guides, and honoring the people whose lived experiences are part of the stories we tell.

Through my World Trade Center-related tours, I support organizations connected to remembrance, research, and first responders. I donate over 20% of my World Trade Center tour earnings to the causes below and to the National 9/11 Memorial.
