under the dome
when the area was a graffiti covered dump. He proposed to his second wife there.

1964: The New York World's Fair opened in Flushing Meadows Park, Queens
at a cost of $1 Billion. 51 million people visited over the next two years. The fair will end with a deficit of $21 million. Perhaps that is why the never demolished it.
