Empire State, Chrysler and Chanin Buildings, immortals of Art Deco, along with Rockefeller Center.
The International Style on Park Avenue, including the Seagram Tower and Lever House.
The grandeur of the Waldorf=Astoria, St Bart's Church, St Patrick's Cathedral, and Grand Central.
Well, it has been tweeted on Twitter!

New tour! How the High Line is sustainable environmentally.
From plants to plumbing, the High Line is about thoughtful re-development to be a pioneering park.
The tour goes into the context of the High Line's neighborhoods, the Meatpacking District and Chelsea, as well as the concepts of pre-industrialization, industrialization, post-industrialization's waste, and 'post-post-industrialization's revitalization and smart sustainable solutions.

An American Tour Operator that sends me lovely groups of adults and students from a thousand miles away is hiring me again:
"I’ve got another group for you in October! Do
you remember [the company's owner that you provided a tour for his student group a couple of years ago]? He [is] bringing an adult
group (about 20 people) in October & [he] specifically requested that you
be their guide for 2 days"
.... when I accepted this sweet offer, here was the reply:
"Fabulous….you made my day!"
No, YOU made MY day! Such kind recognition. Nothing like a repeat guest.

As of April 1st 2016, I continue to be a licensed NYC Sightseeing Guide, as I have been since 2005.
Here is the list of all of us:

I am proud to have a star next to my name for my exemplary exam score, and I am proud to be licensed. It means that I am accountable for what I do and say to my guests.

From a Tour Operator client that sends me groups to lead in New York City:
"[The Educational Group Leader from 2013] asked for you by name today, so you obviously made a big impression on him the last time his group was there."
This wonderful news led to another booking for the client and their repeat guest.

From a parent's social media post:
"Unforgettable memories were created on this trip to NYC and I couldn't be more thankful for everyone who was a part of it [including the performing arts Tour Operator]. From singing at Carnegie Hall [that the Tour Operator arranged] to singing on a subway [Jared's idea and encouragement], I will never forget this trip. A special thanks to our tour guide Jared who led us around via lightsaber and shared with us his passion for the city."
By the way, some groups prefer not to have a light saber, so I adapt.
Another parent wrote to my Tour Operator client:
"Thank you Jared Goldstein for the most amazing tour.
You made our five days in NYC the most wonderfully fun, positive experience and
we could not be more appreciative of you! I'm singing [the] "Announcements" [tune]
in my head as I type this ... we miss you"
I sing a brief three-word Announcement ditty to get the student group's attention, and some of them joined in, which was fun and got them to focus. Not all groups want me to sing three words like that; I adapt to what works for different groups.
My Group Leader sent this evaluation to my Educational Tour Operator client:
"We had THE BEST time! Jared was beyond wonderful, we were so lucky
to have him [as our NYC Tour Director]. He made such a difference in the ease of our trip. Our chaperones
were able to focus on making sure the kids were all together instead of finding
their way around, it was excellent. He was such a treat to have and everyone
loved him. His light saber was hysterical and very useful, we just felt so
fortunate to have him with us.
....
The trip was so inspirational for the kids, myself and our parent
chaperones. I can not begin to tell you how much it has changed our choir
program.
....
The kids kept on saying that they had talked with
other choir kids at Carnegie Hall and they were comparing tours and they kept
saying how lucky we were to do all the things we did, have an easier travel
day, our tour guide was so fun and they got to see two shows. It was nice to
hear them express their excitement and gratitude so early on in the trip.
....
Now that I have my first tour under my belt, I feel so excited for
future tours...
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a fabulous
experience. The whole group had the best time and we are just basking in the
glow of our amazing trip.
[From Performing Arts Director, Teacher and Group Leader]
Then my NYC Tour Operator concluded:
"GLOWING REVIEW!
Thank you Jared for
being the icing on the cake a the cherry on top! You're awesome!! Thanks again
Jared!!!"

From a text:
THANK YOU for being such a huge part of making [this school's NYC visit] wonderful for them. I was so glad that they had you their expert [student group] escort [or student Tour Director]. I always enjoy working with you. Until next time! <3
It is so kind that a busy performing arts school Tour Operator took the time out to thank me for leading her client's school group around NYC. Performing Arts School tours of NYC are a delight!

I accompanied a mother and her teenage daughter on a Central Park tour, and then we experienced a street art tour of Bushwick, Brooklyn.
During her subsequent days in NYC she texted:
"TY again for the [NYC] tour. We are loving your city! And we are getting all over the place via subway."
[This is especially meaningful to me, because I try to orient those who want to use the subways after our NYC tour.]

From a letter from a teacher Group Leader about our NYC Tour:
"Our students loved your tour and were still talking about it on the way home, so thank you so much for helping to make our trip the success that it was. I am going to see the principal ... re. another trip to New York."
Well, that was a few hours well-spent!
